2019 Red Raider Seniors

#1 – Jack Galvin DB/RB

Playing his 6th year of football in Barnstable, Jack, is a 3 year Silver Bullet and a 3 year Red Raider. He plays cornerback and wingback for the Big Red. Jack’s favorite football memory is when his team beat D-Y his sophomore year and coach Hill went crazy after the game. After graduation Jack plans on attending Assumption College where he will play lacrosse. Jack would like to thank his family, friends, and coaches for all of their support and love throughout the years.

#2 – Luke Locascio  WR/DB

Luke is beginning his 4th season as a Red Raider after playing 6 years of Silver Bullets football. He is a member of the varsity baseball team in the spring and has played basketball at B.H.S. Luke’s favorite football memory is when his team won the Super Bowl his pee wee year.  Luke is a member of the National Honor Society and challenges himself in the classroom.  After high school Luke plans on attending college to study engineering. 

#5 – Harry Lanman  TE/LB

Harry, a 2019 Team Captain, is in his 4th year as a Red Raider after playing 7 seasons for the Silver Bullets. He is also a member of the Red Raiders baseball team. Harry’s favorite football memory is when he and his teammates won their first playoff game last year 35-0 over Wellesley. After high school he plans on attending a four year college to study Athletic Training or Physical Therapy.  He is also looking to continue his football playing days at the next level. Harry would like to thank his siblings Tommy, Tay, and Sam as well as his Mom and Dad for their continuous support and love throughout his athletic career.

#6 – Jadaro France   WR/DB

Daro has played 3 years with the Silver Bullets and is going into his 4th year as a Red Raider.  He is also a member of the varsity basketball team in the winter.  His favorite football memory was winning a Super Bowl when he was a Peewee on the Silver Bullets. Daro plans on studying criminology in college and becoming a police officer.  He is very thankful for his family and all the love and support they continue to show him.

#8 – Nick Wilson  QB/DB

Nick has been chosen a Team Captain for the 2019 Red Raiders.  He is a three sport varsity athlete at B.H.S., who played cornerback last season for the Red Raiders and this year will be playing Quarterback. It is his fifth year of football at Barnstable High School.  Nick hopes to continue playing football in college while pursuing a career in aviation. He has had so many great memories playing football over the years, but hopes to make one more special one this December. Nick would like to thank his sister Alexa, father, and especially his mother for all of their support and encouragement over the years. 

#9 – Chase Conroy  QB/DB

Chase, a 6 year Bullet and a 3 year Red Raider, is returning after having missed his junior year due to an arm injury.  He is excited to back to playing football. Chase also plays baseball at B.H.S. and lettered for the team this past season. He plans on attending college next year to study computer science. Chase’s favorite football memory was winning the Super Bowl one of his Peewee seasons for the Bullets. He would like to thank his parents for supporting him through his entire sports career. He would also like to thank his brother Bryce for guiding him and his sister Kasey for always being there to cheer him on.

#10 – Colby Burke  TE/DE

Colby, a 2019 Team Captain, is entering his 5th season for the Red Raiders.  He is a two year starter for the varsity team and was a 2018 OCL All-League Selection.  A member of the National Honor Society, Colby has also played 2 years of varsity basketball and 4 years of varsity baseball at BHS.  He was recently selected to be captain of the baseball team for the upcoming season. His favorite football memory was defeating Bridgewater-Raynham his junior year and winning the OCL championship.  After graduating, Colby plans on attending college and continuing his football career. He would like to thank his parents, three older brothers, and younger sister for their endless support through these past three years.

#11 – Keith Huska  WR/DB

Keith, a receiver and cornerback, is entering his 9th season of Barnstable football having played 6 years for the Silver Bullets and 3 for the Red Raiders. He has also has been a member of the B.H.S. hockey team for the past 3 years.  Keith’s favorite football memories are from his two years as a Peewee when he went to two Super Bowls and won one OCYFL Championship.  He plans on going to College for four years to study Civil engineering after graduating.  Keith would like to thank his parents, brothers, and grandparents for all the love and support throughout high school.

#12 – Will Cogswell  K

This year is Will’s 2nd year as a Red Raider.  He looks forward to a season he will never forget alongside his teammates, and best friends. He is a member of the National Honor Society, the varsity hockey team and the spring track & field team at B.H.S. After graduation, Will plans on attending a 4 year college to study business and finance.  He would like to thank both of his parents for all they have done for him, Caroline, Kyle and Laura for their support and all the coaches especially Coach Jatkola for the encouragement and always hoping to better him on and off the field.

#13 – Michael Martir  WR/DB

Going into his 7th year as a Barnstable football player, Michael will be playing wide receiver and cornerback for the Red Raiders in 2019. Also a gifted baseball player, he has been named a captain of the baseball team for the 2020 season.  After graduation Michael plans on attending college to study emergency management where he hopes to continue his baseball career.  He would like to thank his parents, his brother, and the boys for making his years as a Red Raider unforgettable.  

#23 – Brian Frieh  RB/LB

Brian has been selected as a 2019 Team Captain.  He is in his 4th year as a Red Raider after playing 5 years for the Silver Bullets. Brian is a member of the National Honor Society and also excels on the ice as a hockey player for the Red Raiders. Brian’s favorite football memory is when he and his teammates won a Super Bowl title as Peewees. After high school, Brian looks to attend a four year college to study engineering. Brian would like to thank his 3 brothers, Dad, and most of all his Mom for all the continued support throughout his athletic career.

#24 – Pat Spillane  RB/DB

Pat is entering his 4th season of Barnstable Football.  This upcoming spring will also be his 3rd season playing Lacrosse for Barnstable.  His favorite football memory is beating Bridgewater-Raynham his freshman year.  After graduation, Pat plans on going to college to pursue his dream of starting his own construction company.  Pat would like to thank his entire family for their support but specifically his parents for showing him the value of hard work.  Pat also is grateful for all the players and coaches who have helped him develop as a football player and a person over the years, especially Coach Jatkola and Coach Morris for believing in him and motivating him during off-season workouts.

#33 – Wilber Tejada  WR/DB

Wilber, a wideout and defensive Back, has played 3 years for the Big Red.  He always liked football growing up and came out for the team his freshman year.  Wilber enjoyed playing freshman football and lists beating Bridgewater-Raynham that season as his favorite football memory.  He plans to attend college after graduation to study fire science and plans on becoming a firefighter after he finishes college.  Wilber is thankful for his mom and for everything she has shown him and all the support you could have.  

#40 – Ted Ells  TE/LB

Ted, a tight end and outside linebacker, will be entering his 4th year of football for the Red Raiders. He is also a 5 year member of the varsity swimming team for B.H.S.  After graduating, Ted plans on going to college where he would like to study economics and business law.  He hopes to continue playing sports at the college level.  Ted would like to thank his mom, dad, and five siblings for their support all throughout high school. 

#42 – Johnny Adams  RB/LB

This is Johnny’s third year playing for the Red Raiders after having played one season for the Silver Bullets. His favorite football memory was winning the OCL championship against Bridgewater-Raynham his freshman year.  Johnny plans to go on to college and study marine mechanical engineering after graduating B.H.S. He’d like to thank his family and friends for all the support that they have given him his whole life. He would especially like to thank his brother who may have been tough but always supported him and tried to help him with sports and school.

#50 – Max Kennedy  OL

There is not another team in the world that Max Kennedy would rather fight for than the Barnstable Red Raiders. He’s built too many deep friendships during these incredible football years. Max has also had a passion for Red Raider baseball, practically before he could even walk! He adores his teammates, especially those who push him and work alongside him to get better. Max started playing football as a freshman, following in the large footsteps of his two older brothers before him, both Red Raider team captains. Max has always been told by the coaches that the tradition set by his brothers, Chris and Jack, were lofty but Max had always shown his leadership to the team by setting a work ethic example.  Games are won in practice, preparation and the weight room. Since 8th grade, Max made a daily commitment to the weight room every day it was open. This is where he developed a love for the guys who joined him to get better. Max acknowledges his two brothers, his parents, his coaches and friends on the team for the encouragement to push on days when it wasn’t always easy.  Go Raiders!

#54-Jaron “Ducky” Affleck  OL/DL

Jaron, a guard and defensive end, played on the Silver Bullets for 6 years and is now going on his 4th year with the Big Red.  His favorite football memory was when his team won the Super Bowl during his Peewee year with the Silver Bullets. Jaron would like to thank his mother, who always supports him and pushes him to become the best possible version of himself.  He would also like to thank his sister for always cheering him on, and one more big thanks to all the coaches who have taught him how to play and succeed on and off the football field. 

#55 – Elijah Monteiro  OL/DL

Elijah, a guard and defensive tackle, is entering his 4th season with the Red Raiders.  He hopes to make many lasting memories this year.  Elijah’s favorite football memory was his freshman football year when they beat Bridgewater-Raynham and took home the OCL Championship.  After graduation Elijah plans to attend college and pursue a career in the culinary industry.  Elijah would like to thank all of the coaches he has had throughout the years for all they have taught him.

#57 – Thomas Our  OL/DL

Thomas, a defensive end and offensive lineman, has played 4 years for the Silver Bullets and is entering his 4th year as a Red Raider. He was a 2018 OCL All League Selection, and plans to duplicate that effort in 2019.  His favorite football memory is winning the Super Bowl during his time as a Peewee with the Silver Bullets.  Tommy is a member of the Elite 515+ Deadlift Club, the 405 Squat Club and the 225 Bench Club.  After graduation, he plans on going to college to study civil engineering and playing football. Thomas would like to thank his coaches and his parents for pushing him to be better, both on and off the field. 

#68-Alex “Salad” Saladino  OL/DL

A 2019 Team Captain, Alex is playing his 5th year for the Big Red after having played several seasons for the Silver Bullets.  Playing football over the years has helped prepare Alex for the world ahead, not only by focusing on hard work (both on and off the field), but also the sacrifices and dedication required to meet your goals. Alex is a member of the B.H.S. Weight Room Elite Club having achieved entrance into each of the Elite Lifting Clubs (515+ Deadlift Club, 500+ Squat Club and 315+ Bench Club).  His dedication and commitment can be seen in his ability and determination on and off the field.   Alex plans on playing football in college. He would like to thank all of his coaches  for challenging him and how they always pushed him and his fellow teammates to do more and be more, as well as his Mother and Father and brother Tim for all there support during all his football days 

#73 – Declan Moriarty  OL/DL

Declan, an offensive guard and defensive tackle, has been selected as a 2019 Team Captain.  He has played 5 years for the Red Raiders.  In 2018 Declan was an OCL All League Selection.  He is a member of the National Honor Society and a member of the B.H.S. Weight Room Elite Club having achieved entrance into each of the Elite Lifting Clubs (515+ Deadlift Club, 500+ Squat Club and 315+ Bench Club).  His favorite football memory is being in M with his teammates and Coach Jatkola getting better everyday.  After graduation Declan plans to attend The United States Naval Academy and play football for the Midshipmen.  His football experience at Barnstable would not have been possible without the talented coaching staff.  An especially big thank you to Coach Jatkola for his guidance, knowledge and love of the game.  Declan would also like to give a huge thanks to his Mom and Dad, his two sisters Maeve and Bridey, and his grandparents for their enthusiastic support. 

#74 – Tommy Lanman  OL/DL

Tommy started playing football at age 7 for the Barnstable Silver Bullets, he played 5 seasons for them and is starting his 3rd season with the Red Raiders. He also competes in Winter and Spring track, and has earned varsity letters on both teams. Tommy plans on going to college to study emergency management, and move on to become a firefighter/paramedic like his father. He would like to thank his parents and his brother Harry, for being continuously supportive over the years. 

#77 – Jack Needham  OL/DL

Jack is entering his third year as a Red Raider, and played in the Silver Bullets program for a year.  Jack is a member of the French National Honor Society and holds the position of Treasurer.  Jack plays lacrosse in the spring and excels on the field as the team’s goalie.  He was also the manager of the B.H.S. hockey team his junior year.  Jack’s favorite football memory is when he was able to just make the Silver Bullets weight requirement after having lost 18 pounds in the three weeks prior to weigh-ins.  After high school Jack plans to attend a four year college to study Entrepreneurship and hopes to one day own his own business. Jack would like to thank his dad, mom, brother and sister for all the fun and support in these last years of football.
