Barnstable Red Raider “Players of the Game” for the Thursday, November 9th phenomenal offensively stellar (for both teams) HOME game of Barnstable vs. Pembroke have been announced by MAXPREPS. Final score? Barnstable 60, Pembroke 42. Congratulations, gentlemen!!

It is through the commitment, research and detail orientation of our outstanding statistician Sean Walsh that we know the following to be factual truth. Many high school programs do not have the capacity and volunteer commitment that enables maintaining thorough team statistics through the years. We are truly blessed that Sean stepped forward to research records since 1893 to ensure the history of Barnstable High School Football is well documented for all!

Overall Player of the Game: #8 SAM ROSEN, Wide Receiver/ Defensive Back 

“Sam Rosen had a career night versus Pembroke in Barnstable’s 60-42 victory by shattering the record books. Rosen had 14 receptions for 302 yards, 4 touchdowns receiving, a 97-yard kickoff return TD, 419 all-purpose yards and 5 total scores. He also added 5 tackles on defense and recovered a fumble.”


Offensive Player of the Game: #16 MATT PETERCUSKIE, Quarterback 

“Matt Petercuskie went 26-36 in the air and threw 7 touchdowns for an incredible, record-breaking, 426 yards in the air, a new-all-time single game record for BHS.”


Defensive Player of the Game: #52 Isaac Dulak, Defensive Lineman

“Defensive lineman Isaac Dulak continued to lead the defense for the Red & White with yet another stellar game in the trenches. Dulak had 8 total tackles, a sack for a loss of six yards, two hurries and a fumble recovery.”


Special Teams Player of the Game: #29 Devary Gray, Defensive Back 

“Defensive specialist Devary Gray turned in his best performance of the season with five total tackles and two passes defended.”
