ROSS JATKOLA NAMED AS BARNSTABLE HIGH SCHOOL HEAD FOOTBALL COACH

Ross Jatkola
It is with great excitement that Barnstable High School announces that Ross Jatkola has been selected as its new Head Football Coach. Coach Jatkola most recently served as the varsity offensive coordinator at Cheshire Academy in Cheshire, CT, where he also coached varsity girls’ basketball and track and field. Jatkola also has served as a history teacher during his two-year stint in Cheshire.
Prior to his time Cheshire, Jatkola was the head varsity football coach at Monomoy Regional High School in 2015 and a varsity assistant at Dennis Yarmouth from 2010-2015 winning a Super Bowl in 2011. He also spent two seasons as an assistant football coach at Salve Regina University in Rhode Island from 2007-2009.
A 2003 graduate of Dennis Yarmouth Regional High School, Jatkola was a 2 year starter at tight end at Division 1 SUNY Albany, graduating in 2007 from the University.
Coach Jatkola will be meeting with the returning players in the near future to introduce himself, discuss off season conditioning, and establish goals for the 2018 season.
