Senior Homecoming Queen Kasey Conroy has been the Red Raiders and Silver Bullets Football Teams’ biggest supporter and fan through the years. She is escorted on-field during half-time by Senior Homecoming King and “Overall Player of the Game” Tahir Taylor.

Barnstable Red Raider “Players of the Game” for the Varsity match-up of Barnstable vs. Bridgewater-Raynham on October 14, 2016, were recently announced on MAXPREPS.

Overall Player of the Game: #44 TAHIR TAYLOR, Defensive Lineman/ Fullback

“Defensive lineman and fullback Tahir Taylor scored Barnstable’s first touchdown of the night on a one-yard plunge, while on the opposite side of the line of scrimmage caused and recovered a fumble on a goal-line stand. He also had two solo tackles and two assisted with one hurry in the backfield.”

Offensive Player of the Game: #17 BRYCE CONROY, Quarterback

“Quarterback Bryce Conroy went 14-25 in the air with no interceptions and one touchdown pass for 131 yards passing, including an 8-11 performance in the first half on a 77-yard drive downfield that set up Tahir Taylor’s touchdown. Conroy connected with Zeb Tilton on a 22-yard strike in the 4th quarter. He also punted six times including a 46-yarder under consistent pressure.”

Defensive Player of the Game: #12 CHRIS STILES, Outside Linebacker

“Defensive back Chris Stiles collected five assisted tackles and three solo tackles in a stoic defensive performance.”

Special Teams Player of the Game: #51 LOU COCOZZA, Center

“Center and junior co-captain Lou Cocozza turned in 2.5 tackles on punt team, including two solo tackles from arguably the most difficult position on the field as long snapper.”

Overall Player of the Game: #7 KEATON BERGAL, Wide Receiver/ Defensive Back

“Keaton Bergal rushed it into the end zone for a 30-yard touchdown and accumulated 102 yards rushing on 17 carries while adding 57 yards receiving on three receptions. He also added an interception on defense, defended two passes and had one solo tackle in perhaps his best all-around effort of the season.”

Offensive Player of the Game: #30 SAM ROSEN, Defensive Back/ Running Back  

“Running back Sam Rosen netted three touchdowns on the evening, carrying the ball five times for 95 yards rushing. His first score of the evening came on a 48-yard scamper into the end zone.”

Defensive Player of the Game: #57 Rory Dwyer, Defensive Line

“Defensive lineman and senior standout Rory Dwyer collected 2.5 sacks – one for a 20-yard loss – had four solo tackles and one assisted while adding two hurries in his best all-around performance of the season to lead the Red Raider defensive unit.”

Special Teams Player of the Game: #81 GUI BEZZERA, Kicker

“Barnstable kicker Gui Bezerra not only nailed all six of his PAT attempts, but he added a 27-yard field goal and had 8 kickoffs for a combined 219 yards.”

“Senior Night” is scheduled for tomorrow night’s Barnstable vs. New Bedford Football Game at W. Leo Sheilds Memorial Field. 

All Senior Parents, please be sure to arrive no later than 5:15 PM. Parents and their “Seniors” will line up with the assistance of Quarterback Club volunteers at the goal line closest to the scoreboard by 5:30 PM.
